If you work in respirology, physical medicine, or geriatric medicine, you should know there’s been an increase in payment rates for certain fee codes. All increases date back to April 1st, so if you’ve previously submitted claims without the new rate keep an eye out for explanatory code BG on your remittance to indicate that they’ve been processed at the new rates. Any payment disparities will be resolved on future remittance statements shown with adjustment code 80.
Be sure to update your banking information for all payment numbers as retroactive payments will be made to the payee number connected with the claim.
